The lessons with Suzelle were incredibly helpful, we were matched with great horses (that are well taken care of) and the outrides with Terrence were absolutely fantastic! Riding amongst the vinyards and enjoying the spectacular view was such an amazing experience. Long story short: lekker people, lovely horses & stunning views! We can only recommend booking a horse ride with them, we will certainly be back!

There wasn’t to much foto’s on their website, so I was a bit scared that maybe the view wouldn’t be so good, but I was pleasantly surprised! Journey’s End is really a beautiful place to go for a good outride! The staff are all so kind and really do make you feel welcome!

WHAT TO EXPECT
Our horseback outrides meander through various vineyards and through surrounding wine farms such as Mount Rozier, Highberry, and Journey’s End. Both the natural bird life and the awesome splendor of the mountains will add to the tranquility and beauty of the ride.
Our longer rides lead up to a viewpoint where the majestic Helderberg hovers over your shoulder while you look out over False Bay and see Cape Point in the distance. Here you can savor the view and if you’d like take photos.
THE RIDING EXPERIENCE
The stables are in the Helderberg basin, situated in the quaint village of Sir Lowry’s Pass at the foot of the Hottentots Holland mountain range. Our horses and ponies cater to riders of all levels and kids of all ages.
We strongly recommend that inexperienced children ride on lead rein! Please note that the maximum weight per rider is +- 90kg.Our guides will ensure that the more experienced riders can go for an invigorating canter, while the beginners can continue at a more leisurely pace.
NB! We are always willing to stop for the perfect photo opportunity along the way, so don’t forget your cameras!
